Students are encouraged to suggest items for the still life but I provide a full range of colors usually in the form of fruits, vegetables and flowers. One spring, we had baseball fans in the class and one autumn we had a few Star Wars fans so I brought in my son’s Darth Vader mask. Our classroom is relaxed and joyful.
